Discovr is a Number 1 music app in the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, UK, and more than 50 other countries. Discovr has been featured extensively by Apple, featured in The Wall Street Journal and used by millions of music fans across the globe.

I was responsible for all design in the app including the user interface, prototyping, user experience design, visual design, usability testing, and basic interface code. I also did all business and marketing for the app, ran the app development team, and did all project management to take the app from concept to App Store.

Emoji Type for iPhone & iPad

Emoji Type is a custom keyboard for iOS that autosuggests emoji as you type.
Featured by Apple worldwide. Acquired by Swiftkey (now owned by Microsoft).
 

 
 

Emoji Type was featured by Apple on their official Twitter account and across the App Store, as well as featured in The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company and many more. The app was released 18 months before Apple shipped their own emoji prediction feature in iOS, and was then acquired by Swiftkey who were subsequently bought by Microsoft. The app is no longer available to download from the App Store.

I was responsible for all branding, prototyping, visual design, experience design, interface design, and animation code, as well as all project management, business and marketing for the app. Detailed case study is available on request. 

 
 

 
 

Product Hunt for iPhone

Official Product Hunt app. Featured by Apple in the US App Store as well as in TechCrunch, The Verge, Fox, Bloomberg, and more.
 

 
 


I was responsible for all design of the first two major releases of the official Product Hunt app (as well as a heap of minor iterations). My work started with creating the very first Product Hunt app concept designs, and continued on to all prototyping, interface design, experience design, usability testing, quality assurance, interface code, and project management for the app.

I worked directly with Ryan Hoover from the beginning of the project up until the company secured Series A funding. After the fundraise, the company had enough resources to expand and build a proper in-house product team so I helped transition the app to the new team who went on to develop all later versions of the app.

The current version of the app is live, but the recent versions with the Tinder style UI were designed and developed by the Product Hunt inhouse team. Detailed case study is available on request.

A game that uses the case of the iPhone 5c to play Connect Four.
Featured in The Next Web, GigaOm, Huffington Post, Techcrunch, and The Verge.
 

 
 
 

I was responsible for the initial concept, user interface and animation prototyping, user experience design, and final user interface design. I also did all marketing, promo videos, press, and business.

This was a client project. I was responsible for user experience design, animation, UI development, project team lead, quality assurance, and deployment to the App Store.
